Position Overview:

The Product Management Manager (PMM) for Trapmate will play a key role in the marketing of Skyhawk’s Trapmate product line of electronic remote monitoring solutions for the pest control and wildlife industries. Acting as the subject matter expert for the marketing team, the PMM will be responsible for setting positioning and messaging for the product line and the individual products, for developing content about Trapmate that succinctly explains how Trapmate solves customer challenges, for understanding the competitive landscape, and for acting as the voice of the customer to the product development teams.

Objectives of this role

  • Improve Trapmate’s product marketing content output
  • Shape product marketing campaigns that target the pest control industry, the wildlife control industry, end customers of pest and wildlife operators, and the distribution channel
  • Ensure all product marketing copy aligns with the Skyhawk brand and is high quality
  • Build relationships with external vendors and key stakeholders
  • Set product marketing budgets and track spend, always with an eye for ROI
  • Convert prospects into paying customers through consistent communications
     

Responsibilities

  • Refine and evolve the positioning and messaging for the Trapmate product line and its current and upcoming products
  • Develop and execute a content strategy for the promotion of Trapmate, including web site content, articles, white papers, webinars, videos, case studies, product data sheets, newsletters, and social media posts
  • Assist in the development of sales enablement material such as sales presentations, competitor “kill sheets”, etc.
  • Act as a spokesperson for Trapmate at trade shows, industry conferences, webinars and to the press
  • Meet with customers and partners to better understand their uses cases for electronic remote monitoring and how Trapmate meets or doesn’t meet them, and provide feedback and recommendations to product development.
  • Educate other departments on current product messaging
  • Manage team’s product marketing campaigns
  • Manage budgets allocated for contributors

 

Skills and qualifications

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Marketing experience in the pest control and/or wildlife control industries
  • Product marketing or product management experience
  • High degree of empathy for others’ perspectives and circumstances
  • Experience managing external contractors and budgets
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
