Warehouse Operations Supervisor

Position Summary

PICA Product Development is seeking an organized and results-driven Warehouse Operations Supervisor to oversee warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, stockroom operations, and production kitting in support of manufacturing. This position is responsible for supervising warehouse personnel, ensuring inventory accuracy, maintaining efficient material flow, coordinating domestic and international shipments, and supporting production schedules. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills, experience in manufacturing, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, stockroom activities, and production kitting.
  • Lead and develop warehouse personnel while promoting a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including working with UPS, FedEx, freight carriers, customs brokers, and freight forwarders.
  • Ensure all shipping documentation, import/export paperwork, and customs requirements are completed accurately.
  • Supervise receiving activities and ensure materials are verified, received, and processed accurately within the ERP/MRP system.
  • Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counting, inventory audits, and transaction verification.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies while supporting continuous inventory accuracy improvements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment requirements to Purchasing and Materials Management.
  • Oversee production kitting, ensuring materials are complete, accurate, and available prior to release to manufacturing.
  • Verify production kits against Bills of Material (BOMs), work orders, engineering documentation, and customer requirements.
  • Ensure component traceability, lot control, date code management, and First-In, First-Out (FIFO) practices are maintained.
  • Coordinate material movement to support production schedules and customer delivery commitments.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse and stockroom operations to maximize efficiency, material flow, and storage utilization.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on warehouse organization, inventory accuracy, shipping performance, and production support.
  • Generate and review shipping, inventory, and warehouse performance reports while supporting departmental KPIs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to company safety and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, inventory control, or materials management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum two (2) years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems for inventory transactions and warehouse management.
  • Experience with domestic and international shipping, freight coordination, and customs documentation.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control, cycle counting, FIFO, lot traceability, and material handling.
  • Ability to read and interpret Bills of Material (BOMs), work orders, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in electronics manufacturing or electronic contract manufacturing (EMS).
  • Knowledge of electronic components, ESD handling, and moisture-sensitive device (MSD) requirements.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and 5S methodologies.
  • Knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and import/export compliance requirements.
